The Big Question..
For mine, it takes a little explanation. I'm a person who is extremely idealistic. I see myself as the herione of a Jane Austen novel. I love all the characters who have overcome their trials to find their true loves, and reach their happily ever after. So, as a hopeless romantic, and a believer in all things mushy and fairytale-esque, I ask: Have fairytales and happy endings made people too idealistic in regard to their reality? Do people want the knight in shining armor, the white horse, the romantice rondevous on the balcony? Do people confuse the fairytale with their reality?

Dreams can be reality. Some people's dreams and ideals shape how they perceive or even make their reality. In regards to love, as your question focuses, I do not believe people are too idealistic about love or about anything, however, there are many factors contributing to the manifestation or lack of, of an ideal. Many people seem to have great dreams but go about achieving them in all the wrong ways. To state concisely, I don't think people are too idealistic, I think people, as a result of faery-tale plots, expect things to happen with no work. There are so many people who just sit there and wish the right guy would just show up, or that they were more compatible or more social. Your dreams can happen, but they won't come to life by themselves. As I stated above, we shape our reality with our dreams.
ReplyDeleteWhat people confuse is Magic. Magic isn't "POOF! FROG!" Magic is positive energy focused to make a positive change. Think about the last time you might have done this. Magic is very real, people just posses the wrong idea of it. They are confused about Magic, not what is real or possible.
Hope this helps.
